Arrivals Day. An introduction to the program will follow the evening welcome meal.
Journey through the region’s beginnings to the present day on a walking tour of downtown followed by a visit to the fascinating Memory House Museum. In the evening, delve into Colombian culture with a dynamic Spanish class before dancing salsa with the experts.
Journey deep into the Andean countryside to experience life as a Colombian farmer. Taste your way through an array of sumptuous organic produce before heading into the local town, el Carmen de Viboral, to design your own ceramic product.
Explore Medellin's extraordinary ecological playground, Parque Arvi. Plant trees, walk or cycle through the forest and gather around a bonfire while listening to traditional music and learning about the myths and legends of the land. Head torches included!
Trek through a marble cave at one of the country’s most spectacular natural reserves, Rio Claro. Within this jungle landscape lies a story of determination and fortitude to preserve what Colombia offers in abundance: a remarkable array of fauna and flora. After lunch, we take to the waters in a raft or kayak before enjoying a night BBQ under the stars.
Swim in the crystal clear river before trekking into the eerie depths of a marble cave. The real treat lies within: a bird species as frightening as you'll ever encounter....the guácharo bird. After lunch we head back to Medellin.
