During this exhilarating journey, guests will experience Colombia's City of Eternal Spring by connecting to its locals and vast nature. Meet Colombian farmers, learn how to cook a local meal and visit a coffee farm that produces the finest crimson Arabica beans on the planet. We dip into Medellin's tragic past and hopeful future with a visit to the outside escalators in Comuna 13, taking part in a community project and salsa class. The trip culminates in a trip to Colombia's most stunning natural reserve where we raft, zip line and explore the depths of a mythical marble cave.
"There are a lot of tour options in Colombia but none offer the level of expertise and local understanding of Kagumu Adventures. Expert guides, perfectly-designed itineraries and constant surprises. All carried out in a legitimately sustainable manner. Cannot recommend enough."

Our dedicated guide will pick you up from the airport and you will be able to join a guided tour of the Memory Museum before enjoying an introductory meal with the group.
Day 2: Urban gardening & city transformation
Journey through one of Medellin's most vibrant neighbourhoods. Comuna 13 was once a thoroughfare for drug traffickers, now it teems with visitors who come to view the world-class graffiti and outside escalators. We take part in a social project to help the community and dance salsa led by an award-winning instructor.
Day 3: Organic farming & cooking class
Travel to el Carmen de Viboral, a town one hour from Medellin, to meet a traditional Antioquia farmer. Understand, and taste, the entire process of organic farming. We enjoy a dynamic yoga class before splitting into teams to cook our own sustainable meal led by a professional chef.
Day 4: Coffee farm visit & exotic fruit tasting
Explore Medellin's extraordinary ecological playground, Parque Arvi. We visit Colombia's second largest plant nursery, experience a thrilling eco walk which tests every sense. In the afternoon, we enjoy a coffee farm visit and explore the world of exotic fruits.
Day 5: Rafting along a crystal clear river
We travel 3 hours south east to visit Colombia's most spectacular natural reserves: Rio Claro. Here, we raft down a crystal clear river and underneath unique marble caves. As the sun sets we walk among the fascinating flora and fauna and discover an endemic bird species.
Day 6: Thrilling caving adventure
After waking up to the howl of monkeys, we strap on our helmets and head into the depths of a marble cave. After a traditional lunch we will head back to Medellin to enjoy some free time.
