Meet your expert curator |
A graduate in international development and economics, London-born Mala Henriques dedicates her life to social impact, managing international programs for Impact Hub that help social enterprises maximize and scale their community projects. How is this different to other virtual programs?
You will get the personalized experience and not fall into the background without feeling like you have contributed. You will learn directly from experts in the industry, be mentored by experienced professionals in the SDGs and get to connect to real social impact organizations. Who will I be collaborating with? You will be joining like-minded students. All participants will be english speaking and have a keen interest in sustainable development and social impact. Do I need to know about sustainable development or the UN Sustainable Development Goals? No. If you do great, if not, don’t worry; we will send some material before the course so you can get to know the SDGs. Is this a credit course? No. This is a non-credit course. What online meeting platform will I need? Zoom - there is no sign-up fee and we will send you a private link before each session. How long will the live sessions be? Expert-led sessions will last from 1hr – 2hrs with extra sessions to collaborate with your team. |
Is this individual work or team work?
You will form a team to tackle the challenge that we pose to you. How will I form the team? We will help you create your teams of 5 or 6 with students. You can then collaborate with them throughout the course. Can I form a team with my friends? Yes, if you have a team already let us know beforehand. Who will be leading the live sessions? The sessions will be led by Mala Henriques, an expert in social impact and entrepreneurship, coming from Impact Hub and Globalshapers. Your mentors will be professionals in the SDGs. What will the social impact organizations be? You will work with various organizations and community projects, working with Gender Equality, Human Rights, and Education for All. How do I sign up?
