If you'd like to include classes, we can offer world-class facilities and language courses, certified by Cervantes Instituto, through our partners EAFIT. Their Spanish language course is one of the oldest in the country and is certified by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) in the U.S. Courses run from level A1 to C2 and from semi-intensive (2hr per day) to intensive (4hr per day).

Example itineraryDay 1 - Arrivals & introduction to the program
After a private bus transfer from the airport, we take students to our hotel located in the city. We welcome you to the program in one of the city's favorite restaurants. Day 2 - Into to the Spanish course & city tour After their first Spanish class, Students get their first taste of Medellin's turbulent past and sustainable future with a visit to the Memory museum followed by a city tour including rides on the city's famed transformative public transport system. Day 3 - Organic farming and cooking challenge Today's Spanish workshop is followed by a visit to an organic farm where students discover a fascinating local story and learn about the importance of sustainable farming. Students then don their aprons in our unique cooking challenge. Day 4 - Urban gardening & mural workshop Students use their new Spanish skills in several immersive tasks with our partner foundation. These include helping to create an urban garden and impactful murals with other local students. Day 5 - Sustainable coffee farming & tasting session After another morning class, students discover why Colombia grows the best Arabica beans in the world. They discover the importance of sustainable coffee farming and take part in a tasting session. Day 6 - Market visit & salsa show Students' final class will be followed by a visit to the city's busiest market where they will discover a world of exotic fruits. The evening will be spent on the dance floor with professional salsa dancers. Day 7 - Day trip to Guatapé Students travel to one of Colombia's must see natural wonders - an alien like rock piercing the clouds - and a stunningly beautiful town called Guatapé. Students are given our specially-designed challenge that will bring them closer to the local culture. Day 8 - Flight to Cartagena & city tour We take an early flight to Cartagena where students will encounter new cultures and a different vibe to life. Students explore the UNESCO-listed old town on a guided tour that delves into the fascinating history of Colombia's stunning Caribbean city. Day 9 - Fort tour & social drum workshop Students delve back in time by exploring one of the continent's most famous and impregnable forts - Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas. We then head to afro-descendant fisher village to experience a social drum workshop with locals. Day 10 - Mud volcano experience & cumbia dancing Few experiences in Colombia match delving into a volcano filled with mud! Yes, students can allow their muscles to relax with the natural revitalizing powers of this natural phenomenon. The trip comes to an end with a fantastic cumbia show, encouraging students to hit the dance floor themselves. Day 11 - Departures Private transfer will take the group to the international airport in plenty of time to make any connecting flights. |

Students will Immerse themselves into traditional Colombian life with a truly memorable homestay experience. Choosing the homestay will allow students to interact with their new family on a daily basis, learning how to cook, dance and even play bingo.
