Example itineraryDay 1: Arrivals & introduction to the program (Medellin)
Private airport bus transfer. Hotel check in and welcome dinner at the country's favorite social impact restaurant. Day 2: Award-winning urban development (Medellin) City transformation tour in a vibrant community, traveling along the city's famed transformative metro and cable car system. Evening salsa show and urban dance class. Day 3: Circular economy experience (Medellin) Visit to an organic farm in El Carmen de Viboral. Tour around the town. Cooking challenge using products from the farm. Evening playing the explosive national sport - tejo. Day 4: Urban gardening & mural workshop (Medellin) Cross cultural communication challenges while participating in urban gardening and mural workshops. Visit to the memory museum and night electric bike ride around the city. Day 5: Sustainable coffee farming (Medellin) Visit a socially and environmentally responsible coffee company, learning the process from bean to cup. Free evening for the group. Day 6: Day trip to Guatapé (El Peñol) Day trip to Guatapé - a town that wows visitors with its quaint streets, decorated with colorful and beautiful artwork before students ascend an otherworldly rock with barely believable views. Student interview challenge. Final meal in Medellin. Day 7: Flight to Caribbean coast & city tour (Cartagena) Early flight to Cartagena. Walking tour of the historical old town - a UNESCO Heritage Site. Afternoon visit to el Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas. Evening champeta and Caribbean dance show. Day 8: Afro-Colombian drum workshop (Cartagena) Trip la Boquilla for the Afro-Colombian drum workshop and dance class. Free time on the beach, Canoe trip in the mangroves, visiting a conservation project. Day 9: Mud volcano experience (Cartagena) Visit to a mud volcano, enjoying its cleansing properties. Final dinner in Cartagena's old town. Day 10: Departures (Cartagena) Private transfer to Cartagena's international airport. |
